With October just behind us, the ECFSPR is officially 16—and we couldn’t let November begin without celebrating!

When a European cystic fibrosis registry was first discussed in Paris in the mid-1990s, the idea seemed too ambitious. But it stayed alive. Years of collaboration led to a defining moment in October 2010, when the ECFS Patient Registry took its current form, with Dr Hanne Olesen as Director.
Today, it brings together data from over 57,000 people with CF across 46 countries, supporting research and better care.

Thank you to the people with CF who share their data, and to the clinical teams, registry colleagues and partners whose commitment makes this possible.

Happy 16th birthday, ECFSPR. A few days late, but warmly meant!
